I recently had a show open in Seventh Gallery's project space on Gertrude St in Fitzroy. The show involved the installation of a large faux wooden teleidoscope attached to an image of an erect penis. It is the start of a series of works I am developing, all of which are based on contemporary depictions of masculinity. Hung challenges the idea of phallus being used as a metaphor for power. I have created a visual reference to a world obsessed with size and allow the viewer to determine my own size-based self-worth.
